"Rejoice! ....Do not be afraid"
You seek Jesus who was crucified.
He is not here; for He has risen...
And behold, Jesus met them and said:
Hail! And they came up and took hold of
His feet and worshiped Him."" (Mt. 5-9)
Dear brethren,
The resurrection of our Lord, the great miracle of our faith, and the great mystery! It is the renewal of our human nature, the recreation, the restoration and the return to the immortal life of the first Adam. The desperation has escaped, the darkness has been shattered, and hope has given life and incorruption. The light came, the inexpressible joy into our lives. The heaven is open; the eighth day has begun, the LordÕs day of the unsetting life of the heavenly Kingdom.
Come my brethren to live it deeply, to be ushered in the day of our Risen Lord, to be embraced in the joy of the resurrection which is given to us splendidly in order to be worthy, holding His feet, to venerate Him devotionally, like the Mother of God and the myrrhbearer women in the Life-giving Tomb.
if we were unable to feel the biter taste of fasting, the labor of the vigil and the struggle of the Great Fast, which the Church has offered us, let us at least clean, that which is most important, our souls from the defilement, let us abstain from our passions, let us be humbled before the Lord, let us drop one tear of repentance, in order to be able to leap up in the ÒRejoiceÓ that our Lord addresses to us and calls us to partake in the new recreated communion of Grace.
The times are difficult.
Let us stand well!
We race up speedily in the debasement of the Christian values.
May The Risen Lord stop the destructive course of the world in His ineffable benevolence.
The Lord has Risen.
Truly He is Risen and He is able to save the world, so long as we annihilate the incarceration of our passions and believe with purity in the Resurrectional joy and in His brilliant Light.
May the grace of the Life-giving Sepulcher enlighten you and your pious families.
