On the upper floor of the Hagia sofia in Constantinople. Part of Deesis Mosaic that include Christ, Virgin Mary and John the Baptist. Here Virgin Mary and John the Baptist are asking Jesus for interdession for humanity on the Last Judgment Day. The entire panel is 6 mx 4.68 meters. Believed to date from the twelveth century.
