Our Monastery is dedicated to the Holy Spirit, the Paracletos, Comforter. Paracletos was named by Christ the Third Person of the Holy Trinity: "But when the Comforter comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, even the Spirit of Truth, who proceeds from the Father, He will bear witnwss to Me" (John 15:26).

Is located south of Anderson South Carolina, in a peaceful wooden rural setting, which makes appropriate place for prayer and established in 2005.

"O how awesome is your judgment, Lord! With the Angels standing by, the humans being brought in, the books of life being opened, the works being uncovered and the thoughts being searched! What judgment shall be on me who has been conceived in sin? Who shall extinguish the flames of my fire? Who shall illumine my darkness: Unless you, Lord, have mercy on me as a true friend of man?" (From the Great Compline)

"Orthodoxy is not a library that you can study, but an experience that you are called to live …

God began to "be print" after we ceased to have the experience of Him.

My food is "books", I eat letters. I'm fed up with the letters. I αm a bookworm and a typewriter, that's why I'm a constant hungry and thirsty ....

Is like my ears have be fallen and I do not hear the words of Him: “My food,” said Jesus, “is to do the will of him who sent me .…” (John 4:34)

The letter kills, the spirit is giving us the real life.

Isn't all human wisdom and all science a prayer rope of letters? Man became literate, he whole became an alphabet, and he thinks that he became the alphabet of the whole world and of God. Our civilization was born in the printing houses, and everything civilized bend to the letters, to these delicate idols ...

Thus, the letters became the treasure and the appraisers of every value.

Even God began to " be print" after he ceased to be an experience and survive. The printing houses have been transformed into temples, into kingdoms of letters, this is our culture." Saint Justin Popovich

“To be saved, we need to humiliated ourself. Because, if we force a pride person to go to Paradise, even there he will not find rest. Even there, he will not be satisfied and he will say: “ Why I'm not in the first place- class?”

On the contrary, the humble soul is full of love and does not pursue primacy but it desires for all the good and is pleased with everything."

- Why the orthodox monastics live outside of the world? Why they do not go out to the society to offer social work?

- The orthodox monastics are like the lighthouse. The lighthouse has to be always on the rocks by the sea. Do you want them to go and live into the city and be added to the rest street lights? They can not become a lantern and be placed into the city's roadside. The orthodox monastic is like a remote lighthouse, that stands high on the rocks, directing the ships of this world with their flashes, and upon the open seas the ships are orientated in order to reach their destination, which is God.

PRAYER

Prayer is doxology, thanksgiving and a petition towards God.
We, the Orthodox, believe in a personal God, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. This Triune God reveals Himself to us through His second person, our Lord Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ is incarnated, preaches the Gospel, performs miracles, He is crucified. He is resurrected, ascended into the heavens and sends the Comforter to unite us with God the Father, in order to restore the disturbed relationship with Him; in order to bring us into a personal encounter, communion and union with God.
