The Holy Spirit.
The Monastery is dedicated to the Holy Spirit, the Paracletos
(Comforter). Paracletos is the third person of the Holy Trinity:
“But when the Counselor comes, whom I shall send to you
from the Father, even the Spirit of Truth, who proceeds from
the Father, He will bear witness to Me.”(John 15:26).
He appeared officially on the day of Pentecost, which is the
birthday day of our Holy Church.
From that time, He continues to hold the Institution of the Church and to sanctify the faithful through His gifts. The purpose of our spiritual life is to obtain the Holy Spirit.
The purpose of the Monastic life is for the Monastics to be sanctified with the descent of the Holy Spirit, to receive His gifts and Comfort and to impart that to the contemporary suffering world.
